Story 65. World Conqueror Genghis Khan, “Temujin” - The Birth of a New “Great                     Warrior” King

After “Kotala”, the second younger brother of Genghis Khan’s grandfather Vartan Baatar, ascended to the throne as “Khan” of Kamak Mongol and Taichod tribe,

Kotala” personally led the army to attack the Tatars in 13 wars, and Temujin’s father Yesugei Baatar also naturally participated in the battle. The Tatar tribe was a tribe neighboring the Mongol tribe to the east, and after 13 fierce battles, Yesugei Baatar finally won this war. As a result, he captured the Tatar leaders such as Temujin-Uke and Kori-Bokha and returned singing a triumphal song.

It was at this very moment that a member of his family rode a horse toward his house in Delun Bulldog in Onon, raising a cloud of dust. It was news that a son had been born to his wife, Lady Aelun, who had conceived the child. It was the future Genghis Khan, or Temujin in his childhood. He was born with a lump of blood the size of a peach pit in his right hand.

He was said to have been given the name Temujin (帖木 cheopmukjin in the Secret History of the Mongols, and 鐵木 cheolmukjin in the History of Mongolia) because “he was born when the Tartar Temujin Uge was captured.”

Neither the Secret History of the Mongols nor the Tarikh-e Monghul, 集史 History of Mongolia wrote down the year, month, and day of Genghis Khan’s birth. However, the majority of scholars believe that he was born in 1162.

A generation after Genghis Khan's death, Persian historian Atamalik Juveini summarized his career in one word, "World Conqueror (Jahan gusha)", and this person was born. This title has never been given to any emperor or king in the East or the West in human history. It is a title that neither Alexander the Great of Greece, Caesar of Rome, nor Darius of Persia have received. He was the 19th generation descendant of "Daeyabal," the founder of the second royal family of Balhae Dynasty in Eastern Asia, and the 17th generation descendant of "Kiyan," the legendary ancestor of Mongolia who entered the Arcana Kun.

Episode 1. The meaning of Temujin (鐵木) is not "Iron Man (鐵人)" but "Great Martial God, Dae Musin (大武神)" king

Here, we will examine the meaning of his name, "Temujin." The birth of Temujin, his actions as Genghis Khan, and his accomplishments are well known and have been studied extensively. Unfortunately, however, his ancestors who lived over 1,300 years before the birth of Temujin were mysteriously kept a secret.

Dr. Jeon Won-cheol, the author of <Goguryeo-Balhae Genghis Khan>, has solved the mystery of the relationship between Goguryeo, Balhae, Liao, Jin, and Great Mongol (4 Khanates including the Yuan Dynasty).

In addition to the various approaches used by general historians, he has mobilized linguistic approaches that are interrelated with the languages of every historical region and the changes in that languages, and has created a historical masterpiece that requires a re-study of all human civilizations, including the ancestors of Genghis Khan over a period of 30 years, as well as the rise and fall of the dynasties in the related regions, including history, politics, and culture.

For reference, Dr. Jeon Won-cheol, the author of <Goguryeo-Balhae Chinggis Khan>, learned and mobilized 29 modern and ancient languages to open the door to the secret of a thousand years.

Regarding the meaning of his name “Temujin,” the <Secret History of the Mongols> states, “‘He was born when the Tatar Temujin Uge was captured,’ and so he was given the name Temujin.” The Mongolian Idu Chinese character version of this <Secret History of the Mongols>, “Original Version (元本),” writes his name as “帖木 (Cheopmokjin, Tiemuzhen).” However, the <Yuan Dynasty History (元史)> writes his name as “鐵木 (Tiemuzhen).” Scholars who were eager to find the meaning of the name “Temujin” ignored the spelling “帖木 (Cheopmokjin)” of the Chinese-language <Mongol Secret History>, which is believed to have been written before the <Yuanshi, Yuan Dynsaty History>, and pretended not to pay attention to the spelling of the <Mongol Secret History>, and only focused on the spelling of the <Yuanshi, Yuan Daynsty History>.

Then, the sound “鐵木 (Temu)-” among the spellings of this name is very similar to the Mongolian “, iron”. Also, the Mongolian Idu Chinese character “鐵木” in the <Yuanshi, Yuan Dynasty History> seems to imply the Mongolian “ (iron, )”. Perhaps because of this, many Mongolian scholars today interpret his name Temujin as “iron man”, or “iron-head” or “blacksmith”, based on the hypothesis that it is “demir (demir=temur+jin)” in Turkic and Mongolian.

Then why do they ignore the simple Chinese character interpretation of “帖木 (cheopmokjin)”, or “to attach wood to real”, as written in the Chinese version of <Secret History of Mongolia>? This is the question of Dr. Kwon, the author of this book.

Among the numerous scholars who interpreted “Temujin (鐵木)” as “blacksmith” or “iron-head,” we will look at the interpretation of Kazakh scholar Tablyub Akerov, who proposed the theory that Genghis Khan was a Turkic “Kirkiz”.

The hero's name Chinggis [Chin Oghuz means true, strong] The first part of Khan is the medieval name Temujin, which easily corresponds to the blacksmith-red-hot iron-Damasque steel.

That is, "Temujin" means "blacksmith." However, this interpretation by scholars is completely wrong. However, first of all, his name is a word in a third language, neither Mongolian nor Turkic. It was not a common noun, but a proper noun "person's name."

His name “Temujin (帖木)” is none other than the name of his ancestor, “Kiyan ()” and Ilhan (壹夏, 일하)” of the Balhae Dynasty. It was the title of the “Daemusin (大武神)” King of the Goguryeo royal family.

First of all, his name “Temujin” is almost the same as the old sound of the “Daemusin(大武神)” King of 3rd King of Goguryeo Dynasty, who reigned from  Oct.18 A.D to Oct. 44 year.

Second, let’s look at a passage from the “Volume 1, main articles, First Taejo (太祖)” section of the <Yuanshi (元史), Yuan Dynsaty History> that supports this fact.

This history book partially repeats the part of the <Secret History of the Mongols> that explains the origin of the name Temujin, while also clearly explaining the true meaning of “Temujin” that the <Secret History of the Mongols> missed.

The name of the great ancestor, Beopcheongyeun (法天運) Seongmuhangje (聖武皇帝) is Temujin (鐵木, Cheolmokjin), his last name is Kiyan Khan (奇옥溫氏, Giokon, or Kiyah Khan), and he is a Mongol (蒙古部人, Mongol woman). ∙∙∙∙∙

When the ancestor (Yesugei Baatar) first attacked the Tatar tribe (塔塔兒部, Taptap-abu), he captured the leader Temujin (鐵木, Cheolmokjin). Empress Xuanyi (宣懿太后) Eelun (月倫, 월륜) gave birth to Taejo (太祖) at that time, who was holding a hardened blood like a red stone in his hand. Yeoljo was surprised by this, and because of this, he named him (名之, 명지) after the captured Temujin (鐵木, 철목진), and its meaning (, ) refers to 'Martial Arts.’

Here, let’s look at what it says: “He named his son’s name (名之, 명지) after the captured Temujin (鐵木), and its meaning (, ) refers to Martial Arts.”

As seen above, “Tatarbu (塔塔兒部, Taptapabu)” was a tribe of descendants of “Goguryeo (高句麗) Daedaero (大對盧)”, and the chieftain of “Tatarbu (塔塔兒部)” Temujin (鐵木) mentioned in the above record, judging by his chieftain status, was the eldest grandson of this local tribe or a person of similar status. If so, he was a distant descendant of Goguryeo Daedae-ro (大對盧).

Since Yesugei Baatar was the 18th generation descendant of Daeyabal, who was almost the same age as Namsaeng, the eldest son of Gaesomun who was the strong prime minister of Gogurye Kingdom, the chieftain of the “Tatarbu (塔塔兒部)”, “Temujin (鐵木, Cheolmokjin) in prison”, was probably the 18th generation descendant of Namsaeng (男生).

The ancestors of the “Tatarbu (塔塔兒部)” were the “Daedaero (大對盧) Gaesomun’s family and its subjects,” The lineage of Daedaero (大對盧) Gaesomun was the direct ancestor of the Goguryeo royal family. The eldest ancestor of this family was Jumong (朱蒙). The grandson of Jumong was the 3rd king of Goguryeo, “Daemujin (大武神, Daemusin).” The meaning of this “Great Martial God”, king’s name is “God of Martial Arts.”

The meaning of this name is “Tatarbu (塔塔兒部)∙∙∙∙ Chief (部長)∙∙∙∙∙ Temujin (鐵木, Cheolmokjin)” (명之, 명지), and its meaning (, ) refers to martial arts,” which is exactly the same as the record in the <Yuan Dynasty History 元史, 원사>. As explained above, both the Daedaerobu (大對盧部) and the Malgalbu (靺鞨部) lineage came from Jumong (朱蒙), and Jumong’s grandson is “Temujin (大武神).”

The name of this “Great Martial God” king is also called “Dae-hae-Juryu-wang/king (--朱蒙王, Dae-keo (Kai=Hae)-Solo (Joseon)-wang/king)”.

The surname of his great-grandfather Hae Mo-su (解慕漱), which was different from that of his grandfather Jumong (高朱蒙), was restored, and “Dae ()” was added in front of it. This is the origin of the “Dae ()” surname, a “seed branched from the Goguryeo royal family Go (高氏)”.

The reason why the “Malgol Geol () clan” was also called “Buyeo Byeolryu (夫餘別類)”, or “a group that branched off from Buyeo” in <Mugyeongchongyo (武耕摠要)> is because the “Geol () clan that gives off “Keul (大,great)” is the same as the original “Keo (, 해,big)” clan of Buyeo.

Also, the childhood name (, ) of “Daemusin (大武神) King” was “Mukuri (無恤, Muhyul)” and “Mokri (莫來, Makrae).” That is, “Malgal (Muguri in Sanskrit)” and “Goguryeo (Makrri in Turkic).” The reason Temujin named his country “Great Mongolia (Molgol)” is because it comes from the names of his ancestors, “Mukuri” and “Mokri.” The old sound of the vowel “below a(.)” of “Malgal (靺鞨)”, “Mol Gol” (Goguryeo-Malgal “horse town”) is the origin of “Mongol” (Mongolian), “Mugal-i” (Middle Buryat), Balgali” (Middle Turkic), “Mogol” (Persian), and “Mugal” (Persian-Hindi).

It is also said that King “Daemusin (大武神)” was “smart and wise. When he grew up, he was a hero with great wisdom.”  He was the one who conquered Mac and made it “Eupru” or “An-guk (安國).” This is why the Eastern history books of different eras record that he was the one who paved the way for us to understand the genealogy of Suksin-Eupru (Keburu) = Kangor (An-guk) - Mulgil (Malgol/Malgal Balhae).

The name of the “Great Martial God” who achieved such feats has been used by his descendants, the Da-da-ra (Tatar) family and the Mongol (Mogol) family for generations.

The reason his father and his clan gave the newborn Genghis Khan the name “Temujin” was why Yesugei Baatar his father gave it to him with the intention that he would become a smart, wise, and great person like his ancestor, the “Great Martial God King.”

Temujin”, the name of Genghis Khan, which is derived from the title of “Great Martial God” king, which refers to “martial arts”,has no relation at all to the Turkic or Mongolian-based “iron man, iron man, blacksmith” that all scholars around the world, including Marie-Dominique Even and Rodica Pop, misinterpret as the meaning of his name.

After all, Genghis Khan is the name of “Great Martial God” king, the grandson of Jumong, the founder of Goguryeo.

He was a distant relative of “Temujin (鐵木),” the chieftain of “Tatarbu (塔塔兒部, Taptap-abu),” a descendant of the Goguryeo Daedae-ro (大對盧) family, and he also revealed that he was a descendant of “Temujin Daemusin (大武神),” the third king of Goguryeo.Through the name given to him by his father and his clan members, he reveals himself as “a descendant of King Daemusin, the grandson of Jumong (朱蒙).”
