11. The etymology and true meaning of Chinggiz Khan/Genghis Khan is
‘Tingiz Khan’, i.e. ‘Jinguk-wang(king) 震國王’
Episode
1. The etymology of Chinggiz Khan/Genghis Khan
The
historical truth that the root of Chinggiz Khan/Genghis Khan is ‘Tingiz
Khan (Tengiz Kon)’ has been revealed. Therefore, it is necessary to find out
the meaning of the name ‘Chinggiz Khan/Genghis Khan’, which is similar to
this name. Let’s look at a famous example of the interpretation of the meaning
that has been accepted in academia regarding this title.
In
the book <Chinggiz Khan/Genghis Khan (Mogollarin Efendisi Cengiz
Han)>, the famous American author Harold Kam said that Chinggiz
Khan/Genghis Khan’s original name was Temujin (Temujin means
the ‘most refined iron’).” He also said that “Chinggiz Khan/Genghis Khan
(Cengiz Han) means ‘the greatest of rulers, the king of all people’.”
As
you can see here, he says that the meaning of the name ‘Temujin’ is “the
most refined iron,” and ‘Chinggiz Khan/Genghis Khan’ means “the greatest
of rulers, the king of all people.” However, this explanation is no longer
correct now that it has been revealed that the root of Chinggiz Khan/Genghis
Khan, ‘Tinggis Khan (Tenggis Khan)’, is the ‘Dae Yabal.’
Contrary
to his interpretation, the etymology of Chinggiz Khan/Genghis Khan ,in the <Taikh-I Arba' Ulus, 四汗國, Four Khan Countries>, is not the name of ‘Tenggis Khan (Tinggis Khan)’, but a title. This
person is the title ‘Jinguk king 震國王’ written in
<Taikh-I Arba' Ulus, 四汗國, Four Khan Countries> as
‘Tengiz Khan’, and the title of that person became the true etymology of the
later title ‘Chinggiz Khan/Genghis Khan’.
Episode
2. The beginning of the name of the country ‘Mongol’
After
Temujin united four tribes among the many tribes of Mongol area, he
named his country ‘Mongol’. This means that the country was the successor of
‘Molgol/Malgol/Malgal’, or ‘Balhae渤海’. Furthermore, he
said that his own title was ‘Chinggiz Khan/Genghis Khan’, which means ‘Jinguk
king 震國王’. Surprisingly, he first declared to the world
that the ‘Yeke Mongol (Great Mongol)’ he created was the successor country of
Goguryeo and Balhae渤海. This title ‘Jinguk king 震國王’ was the title of his 19th ancestor, ‘Tinggis Khan’ Dae Yabal,
the younger brother of the 1st king of Balhae渤海, and he
adopted it. The reason is that through this, he revealed that he was a
descendant of Jinguk king 震國王 and at the same time
announced to the world that he was the Jinguk king 震國王,
that is, the king of Balhae渤海. Now, 850 years after the
birth of ‘Chinggiz Khan/Genghis Khan’, the origin of his family and race
has been revealed. At the same time, the truth that had been hidden for about
1,350 years since the collapse of Goguryeo in A.D. 668 and for about 1,100
years since the fall of Balhae渤海 in A.D. 926 has
finally been revealed to the world.
